I recently moved across the country to Los Angeles, and one of the only things that got me through the three months of living out of suitcases and eating way too many tacos (is that even a thing?) was salad kits. Specifically, the salad kits from Whole Foods.
Between October and January, I didn't have a real kitchen or kitchen appliances with which to cook. While eating out for almost every meal was fun for a bit, it quickly got expensive and I started to crave something healthier. This is where these magical salad kits came through. All I needed was a big bowl and a fork to enjoy crunchy raw vegetables slathered in a delicious dressings for less than $5. A true blessing from the grocery gods!
